Tianyar is a black sand dive site in north east Bali, a little north of Tulamben Bay. The undulating bottom changes with the currents and waves that affect the site.
The marine life can be very interesting, with ghostpipefish, seahorses, mimic octopus and wonderpus, eels, frogfish, gobies and many nudibranchs. Large tunas and other reef fish have also been reported here.
Confirmed by our research team, reported by independent divers, or observed nearby via iNaturalist — each entry is labelled with its source.
