Toi is a wreck diving area on the west coast of the Izu peninsula in Japan, in a former gold mining town. It offers both beach and boat diving, and is one of the few places in Izu with wrecks. From this side of Izu you can often see Mt. Fuji in the distance on a clear day.
Shore diving: small ships can be seen when diving from the shore, and entry is from shallow water. Even beginners can dive into these wrecks safely.
Boat diving: large, medium and small ships can be seen from the boat. The wrecks are deeper, to a maximum of 35 metres (115 feet), so it is a spot for advanced divers. All the wrecks can be visited with two dives in a day, and it takes only about 10 minutes by boat to reach the dive point. Because it is in a cove, it is usually calm.
Autumn and winter are very calm, and visibility is also very good in those seasons.
