Undine Reef is a coral reef site on the Great Barrier Reef, reached by a 25-minute boat ride from Cape Tribulation beach in Tropical North Queensland, approximately 110 km north of Cairns. It is visited as a snorkel destination alongside Mackay Reef on half-day tours departing from Cape Tribulation.
The reef supports sea turtles, which are found in abundance swimming over colourful coral, along with tropical fish, eagle rays, giant clams, and starfish. The site is suited to snorkellers and beginner-level divers, with good visibility in clear water.
Access is by boat only, departing from Cape Tribulation beach. Vessels carry a maximum of 25 passengers, and snorkellers spend around two hours in the water across the two reef stops. Stingers are present in the water from late October through to around April or May, so a stinger suit is advisable during those months.
