Vianpu lies along the Easter Island coast, part of the Chilean territory of Rapa Nui in the South Pacific, more than 3,500 kilometers from the mainland. The island's volcanic origin shapes the dive terrain here, with steep rocky drop-offs and lava formations typical of the coastline. Divers at this site have reported Easter Island butterflyfish, forceps butterflyfish, longspined porcupinefish, Pacific trumpetfish, and whitebar surgeonfish.
Confirmed by our research team, reported by independent divers, or observed nearby via iNaturalist — each entry is labelled with its source.
