Voodoo Jets is a site off Panama City Beach, Florida, made up of two decommissioned F-101 Voodoo fighter jets sunk deliberately as artificial reefs in July 2014. They now form part of the Florida Panhandle Shipwreck Trail.
The jets served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1982 and are each about 68 ft (21 m) long. They stood on display in Panama City for many years until construction forced their removal, and they were repurposed instead of scrapped. Funding came from a local tourism agency and a state wildlife commission, which covered preparing and sinking them.
The jets lie about three nautical miles south of the M.B. Miller County Pier.
Purpose: the project turned military relics into a dive and fishing site that adds habitat in the Gulf of Mexico.
