Green Bay is a shallow shore-dive site in Protaras, Cyprus, part of the Cape Greko dive network. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 10 metres on a sandy bottom, with easy shore entry and calm, clear, protected water that makes it a recognised training site accepted by all major dive organisations. At depth, the seabed holds a feeding station known as Fish Rock, as well as artificial Greek statues and ancient amphora fragments.
The terrain is shallow and relaxed, with Fish Rock serving as the focal point where marine life congregates. At roughly 10 metres, the Greek statues and amphora pieces create an additional point of interest alongside the natural reef. The bottom is sand, relief is gentle, and the site carries no appreciable current.
Green Bay is well known for its marine life, with turtles, seabream, reef fish, octopus, cuttlefish, cornetfish, and parrotfish regularly seen around Fish Rock. Visibility is consistently good in the sheltered bay.
Entry is directly from shore and the site suits complete beginners as well as certified divers. It is widely used for PADI Open Water training. The minimum age for diving here is 12, and basic swimming ability is recommended. The season runs from April through to November, with water temperatures ranging between 16 °C and 29 °C depending on the month.
