About this site
Wolf Island sits in the far north of the Galapagos archipelago, a remote volcanic outcrop well offshore from the central islands and typically reached only by liveaboard after a long overnight crossing. Shark Point refers to a dive site along its coastline, in waters known throughout the northern Galapagos for strong currents and open ocean pelagic activity. The island itself is a steep, rocky formation rising from deep water with little in the way of sheltered coastline. Divers here have also reported a mix of reef fish alongside the bigger pelagic action, including black-nosed butterflyfish, king angelfish, Moorish idol, Mexican hogfish, Cortez rainbow wrasse, fine-spotted moray, orangeside triggerfish, Pacific trumpetfish, Panamic fanged blenny, and razor surgeonfish.
