Southwest, also called Southwest Pinnacle, is a chain of submerged pinnacles about 10 km offshore from Koh Tao. The pinnacles are carpeted in anemones and soft coral and are dived roughly between 7 and 30 metres.
Fusiliers, jacks and grouper school around the top, and bull sharks turn up occasionally. The site is exposed, so it can run current, and early morning gives the best visibility and the quietest water.
