Zaanstroom is a wreck lying at 30 metres, about 10NM from Littlehampton and 2.5NM from the Owers. The Dutch steel cargo ship, built in 1895, was lost in a storm on 21 December 1911 while on a voyage from Fowey to Amsterdam with a cargo of china clay.
The wreck stands proud of the seabed and the engine room is reasonably intact. It lies oriented east to west, and a few conger eels are resident.
