About this site
Alcalá is a coastal village on the western side of Tenerife, in the municipality of Guía de Isora, facing the Atlantic along the island's southwestern shoreline. The area sits within the volcanic coastline typical of this part of Tenerife, with nearby resort towns such as Playa San Juan and Los Gigantes providing the main access points for boats working this stretch of coast. The dive site here sits over a rocky bottom to a maximum depth of around 18 metres and is rated a beginner dive. Sea turtles are a regular sighting, and divers have also reported barracuda, nudibranchs, and octopus on the rock.
