About this site
Aliko Reef sits along the coastline of Yap, one of the four states of the Federated States of Micronesia in the western Pacific. Yap's reefs fringe the main island group and are typically accessed by short boat rides from Colonia, the state's main town. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 20 metres, and divers have reported lionfish and nurse sharks along the reef.
