About this site
Amaras Reef lies in the Notio Aigaio region of Greece, in the southern Aegean Sea among the Cyclades island group. It is a beginner dive reaching a maximum depth of around 25 metres, making it accessible to less experienced divers. Divers have also reported harsh winds affecting conditions at times, consistent with the seasonal meltemi that shapes this stretch of the Aegean's volcanic and limestone coastlines.
