About this site
Anse Chastanet is a reef dive site fronting the beach of the same name near Soufrière on the west coast of Saint Lucia, close to the Pitons. The reef slopes from shallow water just off the sand out toward a drop-off, making it accessible for both shore entries and boat dives, and reaches a maximum depth of around 43.8 metres. It is rated a beginner site over a reef bottom, and is a well known spot along this stretch of coast, popular with the resort of the same name that sits above the bay. Divers here have reported moray eels, parrotfish, and snapper.
