Arch Rock lies off Santa Cruz Island, the largest of California's Channel Islands, part of Channel Islands National Park off the Santa Barbara coast. Dive sites in this area are typically reached by boat out of Ventura or Santa Barbara through the Santa Barbara Channel. At Arch Rock itself, depths run to about 12.2 metres, making it a shallower reef dive within the park's boat-accessible sites.
