Arraial do Cabo is a coastal town in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on a small peninsula jutting into the South Atlantic east of Cabo Frio. It is known for having some of the clearest waters along the Brazilian coast, a result of upwelling currents that bring cold water from deeper offshore. The area includes several islands and rocky points, including Ilha do Cabo Frio just off the mainland.
