Aruh Fanno

Aruh Fanno is a dive site in Gnaviyani Atoll, in the far south of the Maldives, an area known locally as Fuvahmulah. The atoll sits isolated from the rest of the Maldivian chain, further south than most of the archipelago's dive regions. The site is a reef dive to around 7 metres, rated beginner with light current, and its shallow coral gardens give way to a steep wall further out. Barracuda and thresher sharks are regularly seen here, while divers have also reported batfish, grouper, manta rays, snapper, and trevally. The coral formations, including the soft corals, are fragile, so care is needed when moving through the gardens near the drop-off.
