About this site
The Atago Maru is a Japanese wreck lying off the coast of Miri in Sarawak, on the Malaysian side of Borneo. This part of the South China Sea holds a number of World War II era shipping losses tied to Japanese supply routes through Southeast Asia. Miri is a starting point for boat dives out to these offshore wreck sites.
