About this site
Au Au Crater lies off the Kona coast of the Big Island of Hawaii, in the waters south of Keauhou. This stretch of coastline is volcanic in origin, dropping off into lava formations typical of the leeward side of the island, and is normally accessed by boat from the Kona area.
