Hookena State Beach Park sits on the leeward Kona coast of the Big Island of Hawaii, south of Kailua-Kona in the district of South Kona. The beach fronts a sheltered gray sand cove used for swimming and small boat launching, backed by kiawe trees and a historic wharf site once used for shipping coffee and produce.
