About this site

Bajo De Diablo is a reef site within Cano Island Biological Reserve, off the Osa Peninsula on Costa Rica's Pacific coast, reached by boat from Drake Bay or Uvita. It's rated an advanced dive due to strong currents that run through the site. Jacks and amberjack are a reliable presence here, and divers have also reported eagle rays, hammerhead sharks, manta rays, moray eels, reef sharks, scorpionfish, snapper, tiger sharks, and whale sharks passing through. The combination of open Pacific water and current makes it one of the more demanding sites among the reserve's rock formations and pinnacles.
