About this site
Faro is a dive site off Isla del Cano, a small island reserve off the Osa Peninsula on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica. Boats reach the area from Drake Bay or Uvita, and the surrounding waters are protected as part of the Cano Island Biological Reserve. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 30 metres and is rated an advanced dive. Divers here have reported an unusually wide range of marine life, including barracuda, bull sharks, reef sharks, dolphins, frogfish, octopus, scorpionfish, seahorses, snapper, and manta rays, with occasional sightings of whale sharks passing through.
