About this site

Balinghai Reef sits off the northwest coast of Boracay Island in the Visayas region of the Philippines, along a stretch of coastline north of White Beach, and is reached by short boat rides from the island's dive operators. The site is a wall dive reaching a maximum depth of around 40 metres and is rated advanced, with currents that can run both up and down the wall, making timing around the tide important. Divers regularly encounter angelfish, bannerfish, frogfish, grouper, lionfish, moray eels, pufferfish, triggerfish, and tuna along the wall. Anthias, eagle rays, jacks, nudibranchs, reef sharks, scorpionfish, sea turtles, snapper, stingrays, and trevally have also been reported here.
