Banco De China lies off Inhaca Island, at the mouth of Maputo Bay on the southern coast of Mozambique. The island itself sits at the boundary of the Indian Ocean and the bay, and its surrounding sandbanks and reefs are reached by boat from the small settlements on Inhaca.
