Barges

Grande Island sits at the mouth of Subic Bay off Olongapo on the west coast of Luzon, an area long associated with the former U.S. naval base there. The Barges site takes its name from sunken barge wrecks resting on the bay floor, reaching a maximum depth of around 32 metres over a wreck bottom, with good visibility and light current making it a beginner dive. Garden eels, lionfish, and pipefish are found among the wreckage, and divers have also reported clownfish, grouper, nudibranchs, pufferfish, and stingrays on the site. Boat access is typically arranged through operators based in Subic.
