About this site
Mborokua is a small volcanic island in the New Georgia Sound area of the Solomon Islands, sitting relatively isolated between Guadalcanal and the New Georgia group. Barracuda Point refers to a dive site along its reef fringe, reached by boat from liveaboards or operators working this part of Central Province. The island's steep drop-offs into deep water are typical of the Solomon Islands' volcanic topography. Divers here have reported bigeye trevally, bluepatch parrotfish, clown blennies, flame angelfish, gilded triggerfish, longnose butterflyfish, nodular sea stars, and redstreaked blennies along the reef.
