About this site
Batu Kapal lies off Lang Tengah Island, a small island in the South China Sea off the coast of Terengganu in Peninsular Malaysia, not far from the better known Perhentian and Redang islands. Dive sites in this area are typically built around granite boulder formations breaking the surface, reached by short boat rides from operators based on Lang Tengah itself. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 20 metres and is rated a beginner dive. Divers here have reported bumphead parrotfish and Napoleon wrasse moving among the boulders.
