Batu Lumbung (Manta Point)

Batu Lumbung, better known as Manta Point, sits off the southwest coast of Nusa Penida near Bali. It is a cleaning station site where reef manta rays gather regularly over rocky bommies, making it one of the more reliable places in the area to see them. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 20 metres and is rated a beginner dive, which keeps it accessible to a wide range of divers, though surface chop and surge near the rocks can make entries and exits tricky. Visibility can also drop when plankton concentrations that attract the mantas are high. The draw here is almost entirely about the mantas rather than the reef itself, which is modest compared to other Nusa Penida sites.
