Bianca C

The Bianca C is a former Italian ocean liner that caught fire and sank off Grenada in 1961 after an explosion in the engine room, earning it the nickname the Titanic of the Caribbean. It lies south of St. George's in open water, with its hull stretching around 180 metres and resting on a sandy bottom on its starboard side. The wreck reaches a maximum depth of 49.4 metres and is rated an advanced dive, with a free descent often required to reach the structure and strong currents common at this exposed site. Divers should also be aware of deck collapse and metal fatigue in places, a reminder of the wreck's age and exposure. Its size and depth mean much of it is explored over multiple dives, and divers have reported barracuda, eagle rays, and jacks or amberjacks moving over the structure.
