Purple Rain sits in the Caribbean Sea off Saint George, Grenada, in the waters of the southeastern Caribbean island chain known as the Windward Islands, and is typically reached by boat from the island's coastal towns. It is a reef dive with a maximum depth of around 25.5 metres, rated a beginner site. Divers have reported angelfish, barracuda, eagle rays, nurse sharks, sea turtles, stingrays, triggerfish, and wrasse around the reef.
