About this site
The wreck of Bichu Maru rests near Ngeruktabel in Palau's Rock Islands, a World War II Japanese freighter sunk in 1944. The intact hull lies at 30 meters, encrusted with vibrant corals and swarming with reef fish. Schools of barracuda and trevally patrol the deck, while turtles and reef sharks frequent the area. Strong currents attract pelagics, making it ideal for drift diving. The shallow top deck offers easy exploration, while deeper sections reveal hidden compartments. Visibility often exceeds 30 meters in these nutrient-rich waters.
