About this site
Big Mount lies off Pulau Lima, a small island group near Redang Island in the South China Sea off the coast of Terengganu, Malaysia. This part of Terengganu's marine park is known for granite outcrops and rocky islets that break the surface just off Redang itself, and dive sites in the area are typically reached by boat from Redang or nearby Perhentian. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 25 metres and is rated an intermediate dive. Whale sharks are a confirmed draw here, and divers have also reported barracuda, grouper, and tuna passing through.
