About this site
Biorock Reef sits along the coast of Bali, Indonesia, at a site built around the Biorock mineral accretion structures used to encourage coral growth on artificial frames. It reaches a maximum depth of around 18 metres, sitting over a reef bottom with light current and good visibility, and is considered a beginner-friendly dive. Batfish, lionfish, pufferfish, and triggerfish are common around the structures, and divers have also reported bannerfish, damselfish, moray eels, nudibranchs, cuttlefish, squid, sweetlips, scorpionfish, sea turtles, reef sharks, and even ornate ghost pipefish and pipefish here.
