Black Bart lies off the Florida Panhandle near Panama City Beach, in the northeastern Gulf of Mexico, part of a stretch of coast known for artificial reef wrecks placed offshore to draw fish and divers. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 54.9 metres and is rated a technical dive, putting it well beyond the range of the shallower wrecks scattered through the same waters off Bay County.
