About this site
Blue Emocean Reef sits off Moyo Island, part of the Sumbawa Regency in West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia, separated from Sumbawa's mainland coast by the Moyo Strait. The waters around Moyo are dived from small operators based on the island or from nearby Sumbawa coastal towns. The reef here reaches a maximum depth of around 30 metres and is rated an advanced dive, with strong current and generally great visibility. Divers have reported barracuda, hammerhead sharks, mackerel, manta rays, snapper, trevally, tuna, and wobbegong sharks around the reef, and the strong currents noted here should be treated as a real factor in planning the dive.
