About this site
Boat Rock lies off North Stradbroke Island, on the southeast Queensland coast near the entrance to Moreton Bay. The island's eastern shore is exposed to the open Coral Sea, and its offshore rock formations are reached by boat from the local dive operators on the island. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 30 metres and is rated an advanced dive, with divers having reported strong current and waves around the rock. Barracuda have also been spotted there.
