The Boiler Wrecks lie off the coast near Maḍakalapuva (Batticaloa) on Sri Lanka's eastern seaboard, along the Bay of Bengal in a stretch of coastline with a long history of maritime traffic. The site sits in shallow water to a maximum depth of around 8 metres, making it a beginner dive. As with much of this coast, the wreckage reflects the area's history of shipping losses rather than a single well-documented vessel.
