Brise-lame de Sète

The old breakwater at the exit of Sète harbour, now submerged, forms a rocky band of large rough blocks ending in tetrapods on its eastern tip, which reach a platform at 14 m; the very muddy bottom is at 17 m. Dense fish life: damselfish, sand smelt, sardines, black-headed bream, comber, blennies, yellow-headed gobies, bogue and saddled bream, and the point of the dyke is full of spiny lobsters, with velvet crabs and octopus.
