About this site
A scrap-trade coaster (Le Planier) sunk in 1905 at the exit of Sète after a collision with a tug, resting on a sand bottom at 18 m about 300 m from the jetty. Some 25 m long and broken in two parts 10 m apart, joined by a line, it is stable, open and without holds, so two groups can each take a half. The wreck is carpeted with colourful sponges and jewel anemones, with octopus, conger, nudibranchs and lobsters.
