About this site
Buffet lies off Isla del Canal de Afuera in Coiba National Park, on Panama's Pacific coast, a marine protected area known for its remote, current-swept island terrain. The site sits over a rocky bottom and reaches a maximum depth of around 28 metres. Whale sharks are a regular sighting here, and divers have also reported barracuda, jacks and amberjacks, manta rays, moray eels, reef sharks, and trevally. Sites around this island group are typically reached by boat from Coiba or the mainland port towns of Veraguas province.
