Bunkum Bay lies along the coast of Montserrat, a small volcanic island in the Lesser Antilles, in the eastern Caribbean Sea. The area sits on the western, leeward side of the island, where boat access to the surrounding coastal waters is typically shortest. Divers exploring the bay have reported Atlantic ghost crabs, Caribbean land hermit crabs, ram's horn squid, and Sally Lightfoot crabs along the shoreline and shallows.
