About this site
Carr's Bay lies along the coastline of Saint Peter parish in the north of Montserrat, in the Leeward Islands of the eastern Caribbean Sea. Diving here reaches a maximum depth of around 25 metres over a reef bottom. Access on this side of the island is shaped by volcanic terrain, since much of Montserrat's southern landscape was reshaped by eruptions of the Soufrière Hills volcano from the mid 1990s onward, though Carr's Bay itself sits away from the exclusion zone in the island's more stable north.
