About this site
Burias Shoal lies off Camiguin Island, a small volcanic island in the Bohol Sea north of mainland Mindanao in the Philippines. The area around Camiguin is fringed by a mix of shoals and reef patches typically accessed by banca boats from the island's coastal barangays. Burias Shoal itself is a reef site reaching a maximum depth of around 40 metres and is rated an advanced dive. Divers here have also reported granulated sea stars, thornback cowfish, and tomato clownfish among the reef life.
