About this site
This site lies off Kara Ada island near Bodrum, in Mugla Province on Turkey's Aegean coast, a stretch of coastline known for its sheltered bays and boat access from the Bodrum peninsula. The wreck itself is a C-47 Dakota airplane resting on the seabed at a maximum depth of around 25 metres, making for an intermediate dive over a wreck bottom. Divers have reported barracuda and grouper around the fuselage. The area around Kara Ada remains a common stop for dive boats operating out of Bodrum and Gumbet.
