About this site
Kara Ada, or Black Island, sits in the Gulf of Gokova off the coast of Mugla Province in Turkey's Aegean region, an area popular with gulet and dive boats operating out of Bodrum and the surrounding coastline. Pacoz Bay is one of the coves along this island, reached by boat rather than from shore, and the wreck site here is rated an advanced dive. Divers have reported loggerhead sea turtles around the site, along with reef fish such as Mediterranean damselfish, Mediterranean rainbow wrasse, ornate wrasse, reticulated leatherjacket, and rivulated rabbitfish.
