About this site
Caamano Islet is a small island lying just off Puerto Ayora on the southern coast of Santa Cruz Island in the Galapagos archipelago. It sits within the Galapagos Marine Reserve, close to Academy Bay, and dive outings there are typically arranged from operators based in Puerto Ayora. The site tops out at around 15 metres and is rated a beginner dive over reef terrain. Divers have reported marble rays, reef sharks, sea turtles, and stingrays around the islet.
