About this site
Captain Don's Reef lies along Bonaire's leeward coast, part of the fringing reef system that runs close to shore around much of the island. Like most Bonaire shore sites, it is marked with a yellow-painted stone and reached simply by walking in from the roadside. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 16 metres and is rated a beginner dive, making it a straightforward entry for those diving from shore.
