About this site

Cathedral Reef lies along Lighthouse Reef, an atoll off the coast of Belize near Long Caye in the Belize District, within the barrier reef system offshore from the mainland. It is a beginner dive over a reef bottom, reaching a maximum depth of around 18.3 metres. Divers have reported eagle rays, garden eels, grouper, lobster, parrotfish, sea turtles, snapper, and stingrays around the site. Access is mainly by boat from the caye or from the mainland coast.
