About this site
Chaolian Island (潮连岛) lies in the Yellow Sea about 40 km south-east of Qingdao and is made up of three islets that the tide joins at high water. Dives go around the island on coral-encrusted rocky slopes to 40 m, choosing the side by tide and wind, with 7–10 m visibility and fish schools, sea snails and crabs.
