About this site
Cocos Island lies 550 km off Costa Rica — a 30-plus-hour crossing by liveaboard to one of the planet's premier big-animal dives. Bajo Alcyone, a seamount off the island, is the signature: hammerhead sharks schooling by the hundreds over the pinnacle, with Galápagos and whitetip sharks, marble rays, tuna and dolphins in the current. Cold, deep, surging open-ocean diving with no room for error; reserved for advanced and experienced divers.
