About this site
Viking Rock is a dive site on the northern coast of Cocos Island, where the reefs allow multi-level diving. The maximum depth is 35 metres (115 feet) and the average is 20 metres (60 feet).
Visibility reaches 30 metres (100 feet) and the water is 22 to 24°C. Eagle rays swim here with schools of snappers and emperors, and divers have also reported hammerhead sharks, barracuda and mahi-mahi.
